Joan Carr Catholic Elementary/Junior High School is pleased to offer half day Kindergarten programming. Morning or afternoon classes are available. To verify that your child is eligible for kindergarten, please check the kindergarten calculator

Kindergarten programming at Joan Carr brings the key learner outcomes to life through playful learning as we nurture children to inquire, discover, create and make meaningful connections to the world. The intentional design of space places children in a learning environment that supports critical thinking and problem-solving skills both independently and with peers. Extra & Co-Curricular Programs

We also offer your child extra and co-curricular activities.  The objectives of school activities are to:  reinforce skills taught during the regular programs, promote good sportsmanship, citizenship, school spirit, and assist in providing a varied program, as well as build a positive school culture, which enhances and promotes positive student attitudes, morale, and Catholicity.  In the area of extra and co-curricular programming, the following activities are available for your child:

  • Read In Week and Numeracy Week Activities
  • School Wide Physical Literacy- developing skills to move with competence and confidence in a wide variety of physical activities
